Hudson's 2nd Birthday on Thanksgiving

We had a great time yesterday celebrating Thanksgiving and Hudson's 2nd birthday! Grandpa Blum came over in the morning before going to Aunt Tamera's in Danville to bring Hudson's birthday present and a Lightening McQueen balloon (Grandma just had surgery and still wasn't feeling well).

We had my parents, my Grandma and my sister Charlotte and her kids over for dinner. All of the cousins had a ball playing with their games and watching "Kung Fu Panda". Hannah was an awesome help with all the cooking and cleaning. She made jello, the batter for Hudson's birthday cake and helped decorate the cake. All the food was delish! We soaked the turkey in a brine this year and it was the most moist turkey we have ever had. We're not sure how much food Hudson ate but I do know how much pumpkin pie with whipped cream and cake he ate. WAY TOO MUCH! He should have been sick. He kept going from Grandma great and Daddy for bites of the pie.

If we ask Hudson how old he is he says "Twoo
". He is so flippin' cute! Mommy, Daddy & Nannie (as he fondly calls Hannah) made him a Turkey cake. He got the "Little People" airport from Grandma & Grandpa Blum, which he LOVES! Grandma Kriser and Grandma Great made him a darling "Cars" blanket and gave him Lightening McQueen and Hudson Hornet and some matchbox cars. He got Mater, Sally, Luigi, Guido and Tractor from Hannah. From Mommy & Daddy he got a "Cars" rolling back pack (so he would stop rolling Hannah's everywhere), a red Pottery Barn chair the Mommy found on Craigslist for $30- and some dinosaurs. Pathetic, I know!! But he has had an absolute ball today. He has played with everything all day. We had fun just watching him have so much fun. We are so blessed to have such great kids and wonderful families. We hope that everyone had a great Thanksgiving! Time now to start preparing for Christmas. Have fun!!
